Toyota Connected is a new company designed to redefine the world’s mobility experience. We are delivering customer-focused products that aim to increase our access, convenience and, in some cases, fun!
Toyota Connected Europe is looking for a Service Designer to join the design team developing MyToyota, Toyota’s European car companion app and the next generation infotainment system.You will be joining us at the beginning of Toyota Connected Europe’s journey of building our team and products used by millions. Working closely with our design and product teams, responsible for delivering the strategic and visual design of large-scale, distributed software applications, systems and services.
You will be the championing voice of the customer. Through research and analysis you will understand the complex journeys and many touchpoints that affect the experience of the modern car owner. You will be responsible for designing global-scale applications and services that will enable users to engage with their vehicles in never-before-seen ways.
You will co-create & manage the end-to-end customer experience and service design for critical strategic features. Communicate clearly at all levels of the organisation. Explaining vision, needs and be able to articulate complex systems into manageable services.

What will you do?

- Create, own and manage multiple service blueprints
- Articulate service crossovers and key opportunities
- Participate in the larger design community including conferences, open-source contribution, UX writing, etc.
- Thrive as an independent, autonomous, creative thinker that can break out from conventional solutions
- Work closely with product owners to shape and deliver features.
- Create experience artefacts such as personas, wireframes and flowcharts, service blueprints, experience maps etc.
- Analyse and describe user goals, use cases and workflows
- Put accessibility, inclusion and privacy at the heart of your design thinking
What are we looking for you to bring?

- Have a high-level of experience in the processes for generating insight
- Live and breath user centred design
- Be experienced in understanding the balance of cost, resource and capability
- Experience working closely with senior stakeholders
- Ability to explain your thoughts on usability, engagement, business / user needs and effectiveness
- You are familiar with Figma, Miro, Airtable etc.
- The ability to be self organised, multi-task and work on your own initiatives to deliver tasks on time, budget and target.
- A high level of business and market awareness, with excellent communication, influencing and organisational skills
What would really make you stand out?
- Knowledge of automotive UX, Interaction design and software development is a big plus.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
